Week 11 report

 

Meeting with Mr. Trinical

• Discussed the paper we submitted last week and his suggestions regarding our paper and what we should do next.

  • We should focus only on air decay leak testing because that is the best type of testing for the company moving forward

  • Developing automation is important, but completely automating the clamp to seal the head of the air valve to the cartridge is going to be difficult

  • He was happy with the paper overall and was confident with our approach

  • There are more details regarding the meeting in the lab notebook

  • We discussed a possible alternative to design the system with a sliding rail which allows us to load another cartridge while testing one.

• Looked at parts that we could potentially use moving forward such as a rail, motor, screws, gears, etc. Mr. Trinical will provide us with the specifications of these materials

• Discussed that we will meet every other week and provide any updates in our project.

 

We met as a group this Wednesday to discuss what questions we wanted answers regarding Mr. Trincal’s designs and discussed some basic ideas we had about how we could improve the leak tester system.
