Week 21 report

 

This week, we finished the first prototype of our rail and base system. After we picked up the bar that holds the cuvette from our client, we can adjust the dimension of the base when building the real product.

 

We brainstormed the lifting mechanism associated with the foot pedal design during our group meeting this week. We will buy some rods and use wood to make stands for the pivot points for the prototype. We also started to work on our verification and validation report, and we have spent time looking up FDA information involved in the v&v report.

 

We also wonder whether we could do a makeup for the budget request. Since we weren’t sure how much materials do we actually need for a prototype and how many do they actually cost, we did not submit a budget request. Now, we have a more thorough idea of the materials we need and where we could get them exactly.
