Week 4 report

 

Intro and Recap

In the past week, we discussed how we wanted to come up with possible solutions to improve Mr. Trincal’s customized leak tester design. We agreed to do more research on our own and to come up with our own suggestions on how we think we may be able to make the customized pressure tester more efficient. We plan on meeting next week with each other to discuss the ideas we’ve come up with to decide which changes will be reasonable and realistic to accomplish. Once we have made our list of changes that we believe to be possible for us to do, we will meet with Mr. Trincal to check if our suggested changes are plausible.

 

Keeping in mind what the guest speakers have lectured about, we have agreed that we will all share our responsibilities equally and work together as partners. We believe that, by working together, we can be more productive than electing a single member as leader. We hope that this will ensure that no group member feels that they have more or less responsibilities than the other members.

 

By defining our responsibilities, roles and individual timelines, we will proceed to make a Gantt chart from the template provided to establish a schedule.

 

Completed To-Do List

• A redo was not required for the Project Scope, but we adjusted the need statement to make it one sentence

  • A way to address the problem of inefficiency in the leak tester system for the workers and the company that enhances the adaptability and speed of the company’s production line.

• Observing the benefits of using Matlab vs Arduino or both (see in Research Tab in LabArchives)

• Analyzing data storage softwares (Excel, Matlab, SQL, etc)
